Blue Mountains City Council was absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of two Blue Mountains based artists, Catherine O’Donnell and Paul Mosig, to positions on the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Advisory Committee. The role of the members of the Advisory Committee, is to provide advice and guidance to the management of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and also promote the activities of the Centre to the wider community, to furthermore encourage community involvement in the arts and understanding of cultural practices.
Each new member comes with a plethora of knowledge and experience. Both Catherine and Paul bring a wealth of artistic and professional experience to these roles. Catherine is a practicing visual artist with 15 years of experience. With acumen in arts teaching at the National Art School Sydney and Nepean TAFE, together with a long international exhibition history, she has an in-depth knowledge of the contemporary visual art sector and arts partnership opportunities within Western Sydney.
The Braemar Gallery Management Committee provides a valuable service to the Arts community of the Blue Mountains by coordinating the Braemar Gallery exhibition spaces, exhibition program and volunteer invigilators. The Committee looks forward to welcoming Tobin O’Bree to the group extensive and utilising his extensive skills and experience in managing community gallery spaces.
