Harnessing Creativity

What’s important in any creative act is the process of self-expression. Creative experiences can help children express and cope with their feelings as well as foster mental growth in children by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas and new ways of thinking and problem-solving.

Studies have indicated that creative people are more likely to adapt to living with uncertainty because they can adapt their thinking to allow for the flow of the unknown. Creative people evoke change, challenge stereotypes and promote individuality via their art and in doing so inspire the minds of people all over the world. But have you ever wondered about the power of a written word? How literature can provoke movements, actions and most crucially inspire thought? Have you admired the authors who can simply take a piece of fiction and transport readers into another world and challenge their perspectives and outlook on life? Well what if I told you that not only could you be taught how to harness your creativity through the wonderful art of writing, but you could do so with a world renowned famous author such as Laura Greaves.

Well known author, radio presenter, activist and above all superhero mum, Laura Greaves will be holding creative writing tuition classes in the Springwood United Church on a Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm-5:30pm.
