The Katoomba District Athletics Club knows all about it as their September to March season schedule remains under a cloud due to the state’s lockdown.

Club secretary Deanne Palmer said last month’s expected registration opening had to be put off. “It will be a shame if we do not get our season underway on schedule, as we do have an exciting season planned,” she told the Blue Mountains Phoenix. “But we are just going to have to take what this outbreak throws at us one day at a time, and work within the restrictions thrown our way.”

The good news though is that registrations of interest can be made via the Little Athletics NSW website, and anyone signing up will be directly contacted in the future when registrations do open.
