Comfortable couch and beds, great open fireplace, tastefully decorated, and not to mention a top location, this mountain hideaway looks like a top stay.
It’s not everyday an Airbnb gets a couple of perfect ten out of ten scores in their reviews, but the Messiters Lane cottage did it.
The house sits high up in the mountains, between Katoomba and Leura, and is a short walk to both areas’ main hubs, according to Airbnb.
Kylie, who stayed there only just recently, added a few exclamation marks in her review of the place.
“One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! The house is so comfortable, and has everything you need,” she said. “We had such a great few days, and are looking to book again soon!”
Not to be outdone by Kylie, another reviewer, Michel, gushed on about the relaxed character, and peaceful location of the cute two-bedroom home.
“From all of the home comforts, and more, this cottage will far exceed your expectations,” Michel said in a review. “The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need, and the open fireplace was a big hit with us... the location of the cottage is fantastic – nice and quiet with lovely surroundings.”
The property is run by superhost Tania, who is committed to the Airbnb five step cleaning program, which includes sanitising high touch surfaces like door knobs, and putting used linen through a good high heat wash.
And aside from feeling safe, patrons can enjoy a 43-inch HDTV with Netflix, Wi Fi, complimentary washing machine use, extra blankets, and a Bluetooth sound system – oh and pets are welcome. Check out the extensive range of cottage features when you book.
So, it appears this mountain home beats a hasty retreat to anywhere else.
